Back to School Day, Thursday, August 14th, 10AM- 6PM

We’re so excited to welcome you–or welcome you back!–to the Prodeo family! Back to School Day is your chance to meet our amazing team, learn all about transportation, health forms, purchase Prodeo sweatshirts, and other important info to get your scholar ready for a great year. 

There will be helpful resources, friendly faces, and a raffle for a Prodeo sweatshirt–you won’t want to miss it!

School Year Calendar, Early Release Days, and More

• This school year Prodeo will have a staggered start date for different grade levels

• 2nd-8th Grade First Day of School: Wednesday, August 27th
• Pre-K, Kindergarten, & 1st Grade First Day of School: Tuesday, September 2nd

• Primary Academy (PK, K, 1st Grades) Testing Days:

• Please make sure to sign-up for your Family Conference with your child’s teacher. Signups will be available at Back to School Day or you call the front office at 763-205-9950. During this time, your child will be screened on reading and math skills so that we can provide targeted instruction on the very first day of school!  As a reminder, all PK students must be potty-trained before the first day of school. 

• See the Family Calendar for important dates such as our early release days. 

• Prodeo has a total of seven early release days throughout the school year, on Tuesdays. On these days school will end 2 hours early. 
• Early Release School Hours 7:20 AM - 12:20 PM. Lunch will be served on early release days. 

Uniforms

Prodeo scholars get to wear uniforms every day for school. This helps create a community amongst our scholars. 

• The uniform consists of a polo shirt, solid color bottoms (no jeans), and closed-toed shoes. Please see the attached uniform guidelines, as each academy asks for a specific polo color. 
• If wearing an additional layer, the outer layer is required to be a crew neck sweatshirt with a Prodeo logo. The outer layer should match the color of their polo. Hoodies are NOT allowed.

NEW: Pik My Kid App- Managing Your Scholar’s Dismissal Plans 

PikMyKid is a program that manages scholar dismissal. Families can download the app and directly manage their scholar’s dismissal plan at the end of the day. No more calling into the front office to change your scholar’s pick up plan, just log in to the app and update for that day by 1:30PM or create a custom daily schedule. See the attachment for instructions on how to download the app. Your scholar will be automatically matched to your app by phone number. Don’t see your scholar? Call the school to update your phone number. More information about PikMyKid will be available at Back to School Day. Download the app, attached are QR codes and instructions on how to do so. 

 

Transportation & Pick up/ Drop Off

Below is family pick up/ drop off information & frequently asked questions about transportation, please review carefully and reach out with any questions.

 

Health information 

• If your scholar has any health needs please review the list below and complete the appropriate forms, then have them emailed or faxed from your clinic or bring it to school on August 14th.

• Food allergy and/or requires a specialized meal, complete the dietary statement.

• Medication, complete the medical authorization form.

• Emergency plan, such as an asthma action plan, seizure plan, or diabetic plan, etc.

It is important that we have any health paperwork your child needs on the first day of school so we can meet their needs and keep them safe. 

*Note*: for any medication to be given at school the medical authorization form must be completed and turned into the health office (even Ibuprofen, Tylenol, etc…).
